Hei! (That's Norwegian for hi.) This page is for you who'd rather do therapy in English.

Trauma Therapist in Stavanger and Online

Sometimes it isn't the story that's stuck. It's the body. The breath that never quite lets go. Shoulders that are always a little on guard. Sleep that doesn't bring rest.

I'm a trauma and body therapist, and I meet you where your nervous system is today. We can meet at my clinic in Stavanger or online from your own home, wherever in the world you are.

How I work with trauma

I combine Somatic Experiencing (SE), Internal Family Systems (IFS) and NeuroAffective Touch. We move in small, safe steps so your body can learn that the danger is over. You don't need to tell me everything that happened. We follow what your body is ready for.

Trauma therapy online

Body-based therapy works on screen too. You stay in your own safe space while I guide your attention to your body, your breath and the present moment. Many people find it easier to settle at home. All you need is a quiet room and a screen.

Sessions in Stavanger

I see clients at Kraftklinikken, Kvitsøygata 10, in central Stavanger. If you've moved to Norway for work or family, you're very welcome. Therapy in your own language can make it easier to feel what's going on inside. In the clinic we can also use gentle touch as support, if you want to.

What I can help with

Long-term stress and exhaustion. Anxiety and restlessness held in the body. Feeling frozen, numb or a little outside yourself. Relational and developmental trauma. Shock after a single overwhelming event. Boundaries that are hard to feel or hold. Adjusting to life in a new country.

About me

I'm a trauma and body therapist, trained as a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner (SEP), and I also work with IFS, NeuroAffective Touch and yoga. I'm the managing director of Kraftklinikken in Stavanger and host a podcast about the nervous system. What drives me is translating the language of the nervous system into something you can feel in your own body.

Frequently asked questions

What is trauma therapy?

Therapy that helps your nervous system come out of high alert, so your body can return to calm, connection and safety.

Does trauma therapy work online?

Yes. I guide you through body awareness, breath and sensation on screen, and you are in your own safe space.

Do I have to talk about what happened?

No. We work with what your body is ready for, at your pace.

Do I need a referral?

No, you can book directly.

How many sessions will I need?

It varies from person to person, partly depending on how long you have been carrying what you come with. Many people feel something shift within the first five sessions. Then we check in together and adjust the path as needed. Lasting change often takes a little time. I like to say we sew in the sessions, and it heals in between.

Do you work in English?

Yes. All sessions can be held in English, both online and in Stavanger.

Ready to let your body land?

You're welcome to a first session, in Stavanger or from your own home.
